Ezetap is a pioneer of mobile point-of-sale and in-person acceptance in India. Its Universal Payments platform enables businesses to accept cards, UPI, wallets, and other methods across a range of smart POS devices and software. The company serves enterprises and government programs where physical and digital payments converge at scale. After the 2022 acquisition it became Razorpay POS, extending an online payments leader into offline acceptance.

Challenges faced

The brand’s visibility across merchant onboarding, device logistics, field support, and partner channels created a large external footprint that attackers could imitate.

    Look-alike domains, fake support handles, and counterfeit app listings targeted merchants with refund promises, onboarding fee scams, and settlement update lures.

    Malicious ads and SEO-poisoned pages intermittently out-ranked official links for terms like POS machine, settlement help, and device activation.

  • Manual takedown drag

Hunto AI Solution

Objective: reduce brand abuse quickly across domains, social, app stores, ads, and messaging while producing evidence credible for platforms, bank partners, and leadership.

Rapid onboarding

We ingested official domains and handles, payment keywords, device and settlement vocabulary, and support phrases. We configured abuse heuristics for onboarding fee scams, refund confirmation traps, and device activation lures.

Always-on brand monitoring

Agents continuously searched for homograph domains, cloned store listings, imposter support profiles, job and partner listing misuse, and SEO or paid placements that hijacked branded queries.

Agentic takedown execution

For each incident, Hunto AI auto-assembled screenshots, passive DNS history, WHOIS and hosting metadata, crawl timelines, and platform policy citations. Submissions were generated in platform-native formats for registrars, hosts, social platforms, app stores, and ad networks. Post-removal re-scans mapped mirrors and related infrastructure to suppress clusters, not just single URLs.

Merchant safety and CX enablement

We shipped paste-ready official channel guidance and short scripts for support teams. This included a verification checklist for merchants and a micro page listing verified URLs, app IDs, and handles.

Reporting and governance

Leadership dashboards tracked detections, median time to takedown, first-notice acceptance rates, and a revenue protection proxy aligned to paid and organic traffic during campaigns. Monthly evidence archives were packaged for bank partner reviews and merchant assurance requests.
